Verid8 Now Checks Listings in Every Amazon Category

SHORT ANSWER

Every Amazon listing now gets Amazon policy, trademark and claims checks, and eight regulated categories get dedicated rule packs: 180 rules from Amazon policy and FDA, FTC, CPSC, EPA, FCC and NHTSA requirements.

Verid8 started with supplements, because supplements are where Amazon listing enforcement hit hardest. Most catalogs are not that tidy. A brand that sells a protein powder also sells a shaker bottle; an agency that manages a skincare line also manages a client with phone chargers and another with car care. As of today, Verid8 checks listings in every Amazon category, and eight regulated categories have their own rule packs.

What every listing gets

Whatever the product, every listing is checked against the rules that apply everywhere on Amazon:

  • Amazon policy: restricted and prohibited claims, title and bullet rules, and the listing requirements Amazon applies across categories.
  • Trademark: brand names and protected terms used in a way that invites an IP complaint.
  • Claims: marketing language that needs proof under FTC substantiation rules, such as "clinically proven", "#1" or "guaranteed results".

Each finding names the rule it breaks, cites the source and gives a compliant rewrite you can paste back into the listing.

Eight categories with dedicated rule packs

Where a regulator sets specific requirements, a general check is not enough. These eight categories have their own rule packs:

Category What the pack checks, for example
Supplements Disease claims, structure/function disclaimers, Supplement Facts panel
Grocery & Gourmet Food Nutrient content claims, allergen labeling, Nutrition Facts panel
Beauty & Personal Care Drug claims on cosmetics, ingredient lists, label warnings
Health Care (OTC drugs) Drug Facts panel, NDC listing, monograph claims
Toys, Games & Baby Choking-hazard warnings, Children's Product Certificates, button-cell batteries
Electronics FCC IDs, battery and hazmat information, certification claims
Household & Garden Chemicals Pesticide claims, EPA registration numbers, signal words
Automotive "DOT approved" claims, lighting and emissions parts

Together with the shared checks, that is 180 rules drawn from Amazon policy and from FDA, FTC, CPSC, EPA, FCC and NHTSA requirements.

Scoped to the product, not to a guess

A rule pack only runs on the products it belongs to. Verid8 identifies the category from the listing's title and browse node, so a wrench is never checked as a supplement and a sunscreen gets the OTC drug rules it needs. When the category cannot be determined, Verid8 says so, runs the Amazon policy, trademark and claims checks, and asks you to pick the category.

Copy and images, both checked

Many violations sit in the images rather than the text: a claim on an infographic, a missing warning on the label, a panel that contradicts the bullets. Verid8 reads the main image and the gallery and checks what they say against the same rules as the copy.

No Seller Central connection

Verid8 never connects to Seller Central. You give it the listing content to check, it shows you the findings, and nothing changes on Amazon until you decide to change it.

When Amazon has already acted

On paid plans, the appeal assistant drafts a Plan of Action when Amazon removes a listing: the root cause, the corrective actions and the preventive measures, built from the findings and the rules involved.

Run a free audit on any listing, in any category: one listing, no card, results in about two minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Which Amazon categories does Verid8 check?

All of them. Every listing gets Amazon policy, trademark and claims checks. Eight regulated categories also get a dedicated rule pack: Supplements; Grocery & Gourmet Food; Beauty & Personal Care; Health Care (OTC drugs); Toys, Games & Baby; Electronics; Household & Garden Chemicals; and Automotive.

What happens if my product is not in one of the eight regulated categories?

The listing is still scanned against Amazon policy, trademark and claims rules. The category-specific rules stay off, so a phone case is never judged as a dietary supplement. If Verid8 cannot tell the category from the title and browse node, it says so and asks you to pick one.

Does Verid8 need access to my Seller Central account?

No. Verid8 never connects to Seller Central. You give it the listing content to check, and nothing is changed on Amazon.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes. The free audit at verid8.com/audit checks one listing with no card required. Paid plans add catalog-wide scanning and the appeal assistant, which drafts a Plan of Action when Amazon removes a listing.
